Breezy Painting

Did you ever work on a piece that you couldn't wait to be done with? That was the case here. I felt like doing it over completely, but just kept plugging away. Even so, when I make myself finish something even though I am not really loving it, I always learn from it. (Granted, sometimes you have no choice; it must get done.) Anyway, feel free to critique.

Yes - it happens to me more often than I'd care to admit. Sometimes if a little time goes by I forget about that bit, and am just happy with the final product. I think the final turned out beautifully. She looks so serene. The lavender palette is very soothing and dreamy - but also unexpected. You have a very distinct and lovely way with color.

I love it Ann Marie! I think you made a great color choice! It looks soft and very breezy!! It makes me want to find out where she's flying off to! Nicely done!!

P.S. thanks for leaving comments on my blog. The flashing "0 comments" can be so sad sometimes. :)

I think finishing is the hardest part of any piece. Good job pushing through - I thank you for your good example :)

And I think this is dreamy.

I love it! I liked it right away, so I was surprised to read that it was troublesome for you.
