Painted Sketch - Day 13 - Drifting

I decided to finish this for Illustration Friday's "drifting." I can't decide if I like it better with the girl smaller or larger. Although I want to really see her larger, when I did enlarged her, the composition didn't feel quite right. I tried moving her around, but I don't know...I kind of like the extra breathing room in the top image.

Any thoughts?

I think I prefer the second one Ann Marie. The girl grabs my attention straight away in that one. The other one is more quiet, like gently drifting off, and the second seems more exciting to me.

Both are very well done though. :)

Now that i've seen the two, I love the smaller girl best. The composition is lovely. :)

I agree - the smaller girl works better especially with the "drifting" theme. It gives more of a feeling that she is defying gravity than the larger girl.

Unfortunately that means her expression is not easy to see and the viewer would have to rely on her body language. Maybe if the view was from her level or above it would work better for her to be larger.
